(Other browsers may work but we can only provide limited support). • You will need your network login and password. • You will need a second layer of security, provided through a SecurID key fob or soft key, which can be obtained through a request to your Allianz Global Investors IT Help Desk. • You may need to install the Juniper Terminal Services software. The software will be installed upon the first logon to the remote access system. What are the requirements for remotely accessing Outlook Web or the Generic       Desktop? • You will need a workstation with Internet access and Internet Explorer or Safari. (Other browsers may work but we can only provide limited support). • You will need your network login and password. • For Generic Desktop access you need to install a Citrix client application on your remote workstation. Workstations in airport terminals or other public locations will most likely not allow this application to be installed. What Citrix client version does the system require? • Version 7.0.1753 or higher. The correct version for installation is supplied the first time you logon to the remote desktop. • If you have an older version already installed, you should uninstall that version and install the newest version. You can remove the old version through Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. Then log back onto the site and follow the instructions to install the new client. • The latest version of the full Citrix client can also be found at http://www.citrix.com/ . -- What do I do if I get a "File Not Found" error when trying to connect to Generic       Desktop? • Clear out your Temporary Internet files. • This can be done in your browser through Tools>Internet Options and under the Browsing history section click Delete. • Close your browser and re-launch it. • Go through the login process again. -- When using the Generic Desktop, where should I save my work? • Always save to the network to prevent problems. -- Do I need to make any changes in my home firewall? • Nothing needs to be changed for Outlook Web Access or if you’re only using the built-in Windows fire wall. • If you’re using a different firewall for Remote Access, ports 443 (which should be open by default) and 444 needs to be open in both directions. How secure is the connection? • All data is encrypted, ensuring that it is very secure. Can I use Windows Vista or Windows 7 for Remote Access? • Yes. Can I use my Mac for Remote Access? • Yes. Please contact the Help Desk for assistance. Can I use Remote Access to access my laptop? • Yes. The process for a laptop is the same as for a desktop. Of course, you'll need to ensure that your laptop is left in the office, connected to the network and turned on in order to access it remotely. What do I do if I get an IE7 or IE8 Security Warning? • Right click on the yellow info bar at the top of your browser and select "Fix settings for me..." This is a one time warning which should not appear again. Scheduled Maintenance: Remote Access and Email may not be available on Sundays • From 6AM PT to 12PM PT each Sunday, the remote access services along with Email access (Outlook Web Access and the Outlook client) and Email synchronization (ActiveSync and Blackberry) may be unavailable for short periods of time due to regular scheduled maintenance.
